My Process
Initial Consult
We begin with a brief phone call to discuss your concerns and goals for the evaluation. This is an opportunity for you to share what prompted the referral and to ask any questions.
1
Intake Meeting
This meeting is an opportunity to gather background information about developmental, medical, academic, and social-emotional history. For children and adolescents, this typically involves meeting with parents or caregivers. For young adults, the intake is usually conducted directly with the client. These conversations typically last about an hour.
2
Testing Sessions
Testing is completed over multiple sessions, with total time depending on age, engagement style, and the evaluation’s scope—typically 6–8 hours for younger students and 8–10 hours for older students. I break sessions into smaller blocks, usually 2–2.5 hours each, to reduce fatigue and frustration while helping students feel comfortable with the process, environment, and me.

3
Feedback & Report
After testing is completed, I score, analyze, and write a detailed, individualized report. Schools and service providers find these reports highly useful, as they offer clear insights and practical recommendations.
Once the report is complete, we schedule feedback sessions to review results and discuss next steps. For children and adolescents, this typically includes a parent feedback session (1–1.5 hours) and a student feedback session to synthesize findings and explain supports. For young adults, the feedback meeting is conducted directly with the client.
Even after the process is complete, I remain a resource to my clients and their families.
4
Pricing Information
I charge hourly for direct service hours for all aspects of the evaluation including intake, testing, and feedback sessions. I do not accept insurance, and clients pay directly for services.

Many families choose to check with their insurance providers about out-of-network benefits. I am happy to assist by providing preauthorization forms or, after the evaluation, an itemized invoice with the necessary CPT and diagnostic codes. I always recommend contacting your insurance company in advance to understand any potential coverage. Please note that insurance typically does not cover academic testing or evaluations focused on learning concerns.
I am happy to answer any questions about the process or payments when we connect.
